Accessibility at the Showcase

We want everyone to feel comfortable, included and able to take part.
The Showcase will have a low-sensory room and quiet corners within the Auditorium, for anyone who needs a break.
A dedicated quiet hour with dimmed lighting is planned from 2-3pm.
Sensory backpacks containing earmuffs, fidget items, blankets and other calming supports will also be available to borrow during your visit.
Sensory and quiet spaces
Inclusive facilities
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with flat entry and wide, clear pathways.
An accessible adult change space with mobile hoist and changing table will be provided.
Large print and pictorial signage will be available.
Communication and support
Easily identifiable by their sparkly hats, our friendly volunteers will be available throughout the day to answer questions, guide visitors and offer assistance.
A visual story and a map of the event will be available to help visitors prepare.
Meet our Lived Experience Stallholders
At the heart of the New England Community Showcase are the people. Our lived experience stallholders are people with disability who are sharing their skills, creativity, interests, products and achievements with the community. Meet our stallholders, discover what they have created and learn more about the stories behind their work.
See below Examples of what the Lived Experience Stallholder section will look like once stallholder applications open

Visitors can read each profile before the Showcase and discover what to expect at each stall. These introductions celebrate the people behind the displays and encourage visitors to stop, chat and show their support.
This is where each stallholder will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and share a little about who they are. They can tell visitors about their interests, skills, experience and what inspired them to take part in the Showcase.
Meet and Support Our Community Partners
These are local businesses, organisations, and service providers who support or are connected to the Showcase.
We are proud to work alongside these partners to build a more inclusive and connected community for everyone.
